old taboo stories of its origin
There’s a taboo saying that locals used to see a bird that always sang on a tree called Asam Kandis tree that no longer exists in the kampung area..from there, the kampung area was called Kpg Siol Kandis by locals.
Dahulu,menurut cerita orang lama di sana nama Siol kandis adalah berasal dari burung yang sering kali bersiol Siol di pohon buah Kandis yang tidak wujud lagi di pesekitaran kita dan dari situ lah terdapat idea untuk menamakan KAMPUNG SIOL KANDIS..
